Investigación bibliográfica sobre : la prevalencia, posibles causas y respuestas educativas del Trastorno del Espectro Autista

Abstract

Comprender la prevalencia de los trastornos del espectro autista y su imparable aumento es fundamental para crear los recursos y servicios necesarios que den contestación a las necesidades en todos los niveles de este colectivo y sus familias a tiempo real y también de cara al futuro. Para ello se han propuesto tres preguntas qué guiarán este Trabajo de Fin de Grado. La primera, ¿cuál ha sido la evolución epidemiológica del TEA en Estados Unidos, Europa y en España. La segunda, ¿Cuáles son las posibles razones qué expliquen este aumento a nivel mundial en los últimos 25-30 años? Y por último ¿qué respuesta desde la estructura gubernamental, se da en España a este aumento, a especialmente a nivel educativo?. Por consiguiente, en el siguiente Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) se centra en una investigación teórica sobre la evolución epidemiológica del Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) en Estados Unidos, Europa y España; las posibles causas del aumento como son la evolución de la definición del autismo, el aumento de herramientas de diagnóstico más efectivas y el efecto del movimiento asociativo y por último, que plan de acción tiene el Gobierno de España, especialmente a nivel educativo para cubrir de manera eficaz las necesidades que vienen derivadas de éste trastorno del neurodesarrollo.

Understanding the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their unstoppable increase is essential to create the necessary resources and services that respond to the needs at all levels of this group and their families in real time. For this final project degree (TFG) have been proposed three questions. First, what has been the epidemiological evolution of ASD in the United States, Europe and Spain. The second question is, what are the possible reasons that explain this increase worldwide in the last 25-30 years? And finally, what response from the governmental structure is given in Spain to this increase, specially at the educational level?

In the following Final Degree Project (TFG) the focus is on the theoretical investigation on the epidemiological evolution of autism in the United States, Europe and Spain. The possible causes of the increase such as the evolution of the definition of autism, the increase in more effective diagnostic tools and the effect of the associative movement and last, what action plan does the Government of Spain have, especially at educational level to cover effectively the needs that are derived from this neurodevelopmental disorder.
