Abstract

Este trabajo de fin de grado analiza la integración de los criterios ambientales, sociales y de gobernanza (ESG) en el mercado de renta fija. La creciente demanda por inversiones sostenibles ha llevado a la incorporación de estos criterios a la evaluación y gestión de carteras de renta fija. Se lleva a cabo un estudio la evolución histórica de la sostenibilidad y los criterios ESG, las estrategias de inversión sostenible, y los diferentes tipos de deuda que cumplen con estos principios. Se examinan los beneficios y desafíos asociados con la adopción de los criterios ESG en la renta fija, destacando su impacto en el mercado financiero y la economía global. El objetivo es proporcionar una comprensión profunda de cómo la integración de los criterios ESG puede promover una economía más justa, sostenible, estudiando la posibilidad de que, además, sea rentable.

This thesis analyzes the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria in the fixed income market. The growing demand for sustainable investments has led to the incorporation of these criteria in the evaluation and management of fixed income portfolios. The historical evolution of sustainability and ESG criteria, sustainable investment strategies, and the different types of debt that comply with these principles are studied. The benefits and challenges associated with the adoption of ESG criteria in fixed income are examined, highlighting their impact on the financial market and the global economy. The objective is to provide an in-depth understanding of how the integration of ESG criteria can promote a fairer, more sustainable economy, while exploring the possibility that it can also be profitable.
