Abstract

Introducción: El paciente experto es una persona con la competencia suficiente para formar, formarse y lograr una serie de conocimientos para entender y ser responsable y consciente del autocuidado de su propia enfermedad. Además, su objetivo, será el de ayudar a otros pacientes, con menos información y conocimientos sobre su enfermedad, este último mejorará notablemente la evolución de su patología y su visión de esta. Metodología: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en distintas bases como Google Academic, Pudmed, etc. Además, se escogieron diferentes artículos por su complejidad a la hora de parecerse a nuestro proyecto. Se desestimaron varios artículos por no ser posteriores al año 2000, su contenido no acorde con el proyecto, etc. Objetivo: El objetivo de esta búsqueda bibliográfica identificar la necesidad de este tipo de pacientes en el mundo sanitario de nuestra sociedad actual, donde el médico está en una constante duda, donde el paciente indaga una segunda opinión e investigación en cualquier sitio web antes que en el personal sanitario. Por todo se crea esta figura novedosa, el paciente experto. Resultados y conclusiones: Este programa está creciendo a nivel mundial y ha crecido en popularidad estos últimos años en nuestro país. Se ha demostrado que hay un beneficio económico gracias a que los pacientes se sientes más seguros con su enfermedad. Los resultados que se han obtenido son favorables a corto plazo y están en estudio los resultados a largo plazo, ya que el proyecto es algo nuevo y queda por dictaminar si también será optimo a largo plazo.
