Propuesta didáctica innovadora para tratar temas delicados en Infantil a través de la literatura.

Abstract

Este Trabajo Fin de Grado propone una intervención educativa innovadora en el ámbito de la Educación Infantil para abordar temas complejos como la muerte, la guerra, la pobreza, etc. mediante el recurso de la literatura infantil. A raíz de una sólida base teórica fundamentada con ideas de autores como Piaget, Vygotsky, Montessori y Bettelheim, entre otros, se defiende que los niños tienen la capacidad de comprender realidades difíciles del mundo si se les presentan de manera simbólica, emocionalmente segura y adaptada a su nivel madurativo. Mediante este análisis pedagógico y psicológico de la infancia, se desmonta la creencia de que proteger a los niños es sinónimo de ocultarles la verdad, y se argumenta que hacerlo puede generar confusión y angustia. La propuesta didáctica que se presenta consiste en una estructura replicable para trabajar cualquier tema complejo que se quiera tratar mediante la lectura de cuentos. Los cuentos se basan en una protagonista fija, Águeda, una niña que se enfrenta a una situación difícil y busca comprenderla a través del diálogo con su entorno construyendo su propio aprendizaje. Además, la propuesta se acompaña de un diseño concreto de sesiones organizadas en tres momentos: antes, durante y después de la lectura. Estas sesiones y sus actividades son fácilmente adaptables al contenido que se quiera tratar. Para ejemplificar esta propuesta, se han desarrollado, a partir de dos cuentos de creación propia, sendas unidades didácticas centradas en los temas de la muerte y la guerra, como muestra de su adaptabilidad.

This Final Degree Project proposes an innovative educational intervention in the field of Early Childhood Education to address socially and emotionally challenging topics such as death, war, or poverty, through the use of children's literature. As a result of a solid theoretical foundation based on ideas from authors such as Piaget, Vygotsky, Montessori and Bettelheim, among others, it is argued that children are capable of understanding complex aspects of reality when these are presented in a symbolic, emotionally secure way and adapted to their maturation level. Through this pedagogical and psychological analysis of childhood, the belief that protecting children implies withholding truth from them is challenged, showing that such concealment may, in fact, lead to greater confusion and distress. The didactic proposal that is presented consists of a flexible and replicable structure for addressing complex content through storytelling. The proposed model is based on a recurring protagonist, Águeda, a young girl who is confronted with a difficult situation and seeks understanding through conversations with those around her, constructing meaning from their diverse perspectives. The proposal includes a clearly defined structure of activities organized into three pedagogical phases: before, during and after the reading. These sessions and their activities are designed to be adaptable to a wide range of topics and allow for the emotional and cognitive engagement of students. To illustrate the proposal, two sample teaching units have been designed, addressing the themes of death and war, demonstrating the model’s versality and potential application to other relevant issues in children’s live.
