Singapur como referente educativo internacional: Claves para una mejora contextualizada del sistema español.

Abstract

El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) analiza el sistema educativo de Singapur como referente internacional en términos de calidad y rendimiento, con el objetivo de identificar los elementos clave que lo configuran. A través de una perspectiva propia de la Educación Comparada, se contrasta dicho modelo con el sistema educativo español, analizando sus principales diferencias estructurales y pedagógicas. El estudio aborda no solo las características organizativas y metodológicas de ambos sistemas, sino también su evolución histórica, el marco legislativo, la formación docente, el currículo y el uso de tecnologías de la información. Este análisis permite evaluar hasta qué punto podrían adaptarse ciertas prácticas del modelo de Singapur al contexto español, considerando las particularidades culturales, sociales, políticas e históricas de ambos países. Asimismo, se identifican las barreras y los retos que podrían dificultar la implementación de dichas propuestas en España. Finalmente, el trabajo plantea una serie de recomendaciones orientadas a mejorar la calidad educativa en el sistema español, inspirándose en las estrategias que han posicionado a Singapur entre los países con mejores resultados en evaluaciones internacionales como PISA, TIMSS y TALIS.

This Final Degree Project (TFG) analyzes the educational system of Singapore as an international benchmark in terms of quality and performance, with the aim of identifying the key elements that shape it. Through a Comparative Education perspective, this model is contrasted with the Spanish educational system, analyzing its main structural and pedagogical differences. The study addresses not only the organizational and methodological characteristics of both systems, but also their historical evolution, legislative framework, teacher training, curriculum and the use of information technologies. This analysis allows us to evaluate to what extent certain practices of the Singapore model could be adapted to the Spanish context, considering the cultural, social, political and historical particularities of both countries. It also identifies the barriers and challenges that could hinder the implementation of these proposals in Spain. Finally, the paper proposes a series of recommendations aimed at improving the quality of education in the Spanish system, inspired by the strategies that have positioned Singapore among the countries with the best results in international assessments such as PISA, TIMSS and TALIS.
