Abstract

This project presents the development of a high-fidelity predictive digital twin for NASA’s RASSOR rover through the NVIDIA Isaac Sim platform and ROS 2 middleware. The system aims to mitigate the critical impact of latency in interplanetary communications, specifically between the Moon and Earth, via advanced control techniques and ghosting, thereby reducing the temporal “blindness” of the human operator. For reference, a 3-second latency was used.
