Democracia 'made in' Sánchez: la deriva iliberal

Abstract

How Democracies Die was one of the most influential books in recent years on the decline of liberal democracies in the West. In fact, everyone seemed to have read it on the day that a bunch of radicals decided to storm the Capitol. In it, Harvard professors Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt reasoned: "Over the past few years, we have seen certain politicians say and do things that are unprecedented in the United States, but which we recognise as harbingers of the democratic crisis in other countries". Doesn't this sound all too familiar?
