Del silencio a la palabra: El cortometraje como género artístico intercultural en el libro

Abstract

Nuestro propósito consiste en presentar las transformaciones de un mensaje sin palabras a otro dialógico con argumento verbal. Vamos a tratar de convertir las imágenes fílmicas en expresiones lingüísticas que reflejan distintos contextos culturales y así analizar la intención comunicativa que subyace en la descripción de un cortometraje, que por su brevedad favorece además el trabajo en el aula de Lengua y Cultura Españolas. Se van a ofrecer propuestas didácticas y un muestrario de actividades para revisar las modificaciones del lenguaje no verbal al verbal. Se ha tenido en cuenta el valor de la palabra proferida y la palabra silenciada, sustituida por una imagen para validar o no el famoso dicho: “una imagen vale más que mil palabras”. La palabra resulta fundamental como argumento fundacional para aplicar en distintos parámetros espaciales y temporales.

The purpose of this paper is to present the transformations of a wordless message into verbal dialogue and argument. We are going to try to transform filmic images into linguistic expressions that reflect different cultural contexts and through them analyse the communicative intention underlying the description of a short film, which, due to its brevity, also favours the work in the Spanish Language and Culture classroom. Examples of visual and idiomatic content will be offered in order to describe both the deep and surface structure and thus review the modifications from non-verbal to verbal language. The value of the spoken word and the word silenced and substituted by an image has been taken into account in order to validate or not the famous saying "a picture is worth a thousand words". We are aware that in some cultures the word is fundamental, it is a foundational argument to be applied in other spatial and temporal parameters.
