Extensive literature is available for modeling local P2P energy markets. Most mathematical models to represent these markets solve the problem using either a pricing mechanism to determine the price at which participants trade energy with each other, or a game theoretic approach or an agent-based simulation. This paper reviews and analyses the main formulations of these approach using a same nomenclature to show their main differences and presents a classification of different articles based on their considerations, approach, and pricing models.en-GB
