La comunicación analiza un caso paradigmático de la retraducción a través de la retitulación en un estudio de la revisión continua del título en traducción de una obra canónica: Diez Negritos de Agatha Christie. Examina los cambios más recientes en distintas culturas respecto a lo que se considera racismo y la terminología aceptable para referirse a las distintas razas. The talk explores a paradigmatic case of retranslation through retitling in an analysis of the ongoing revision of the title of a best-selling, canonical work: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. It examines relatively recent changes in Anglophone and other cultures in relation to the predominant interpretation of what constitutes racism and which racial terms are no longer acceptable.
